Valle de los Ingenios, UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as Valle de San Luis, on the road to Sancti Spiritus, east of Trinidad. Stretched out over 25 miles between Trinidad and Sancti Spiritus, the valley offers views of a gorgeous countryside with old haciendas, castels and slaves houses. In the center of the valley rise Torre Manacas Iznaga symbol of the former glory of the sugar aristocracy. Manaca Iznaga Tower, stands next to the Pedro Iznaga hacienda, it was used to watch slaves. Today his house is well-known restaurant. It is possible to tour the valley by car or horseback, with or without a guide. Valley horse riding tours are a popular way to see the sights. Tourists can explore Valle de los Ingenios by fantastic Old Steam Train. Those who are looking for beaches, will find a four kilometers peninsula of fine sands and shallow clean waters. You can get there by air condition mini bus, from Trinidad Colonial center to Ancon beach, round trip cost CUC$ 2. Ancon Beach, the beach is lovely, pure white sand and clean turquoise water, just 8 km from Trinidad. You can hire a Taxi for $CUC 19 from Trinidad to Playa Ancon via La Boca. Small fishing village "La Boca" located about 6 km south of Trinidad, where there are lots of birds at the coast. Ancone peninsula offer an excellent Scuba Diving and Snorkeling.
