The Cathedral, Iglesia Parroquial de la Santisima Trinidad, built between 1817 and 1892 is the largest church in Cuba.

Muse Terpsichore Trinidad City structure consists of a gorgeous Main Square that has a statue of the Terpsichore - Muse of Music and Dance, to bring inspiration to dancers. The square is flanked by Holy Trinity Church. Spanish conquistador Cortes set out from here for Mexico in 1518.

Trinidad was declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988, along with the Valle de los Ingenios.
In 1790 there were 56 sugar mills operates and 12 000 slaves work in the sugar cane fields. At the time region had a population of 28 700.

In the early 19th century slaves revolt in Haiti caused French planters to flee to Trinidad. Slaves contributed to the formation of Cuban nationality, as they brought along their African customs, traditions, songs and dances, as well as their African religions. In addition to its cultural wealth and exuberant nature, Trinidad also brags spectacular Valle de los Ingenios, a unique Sugar Mill Valley.

All museums in Trinidad opens: Tuesday to Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.

- Municipal Museum called Palacio Cantero, is the most interesting museums in Trinidad, built in 1827. Since 1980, the museum's halls have exhibited collections on the extraordinary history of the region, including archeological artifacts from aboriginal cultures, furniture, arts from slave trade era, weapons from wars of independence.

- Museum of Colonial Architecture
For tourist who interesting of the Colonial architecture the Museo de Arquitectura Colonial is the place to visit. Museum has collections of architectural decoration as: doors, handles, locks, windows, grills, Museum also offers guided tours through the historic streets of Trinidad. The museum is housed in two 18th Century buildings, Sanchez Iznaga residence. Located right at the Main Square.

La Canchanchara, famous Trinidad bar, it’s housed in a mansion that was build in 1723 it has its original cedar roof. The bar name is from a drink of the region, made from lemon juice, honey and Santero Cuban rum, serve in glazed ceramic pots. Located Street Real entrance Boca & San Jose.

Casa de la Trova, offer excellent live Cuban music in open air and warm atmosphere. Colonial Bar is a place where to have a Mojito drink. Located block from Main Square, entrance on Street Marquez.

Palenque de los Congos Reales, performances of Cuban folkloric group Afro Cuban dance and music. Located Street del Cristo 35.

Disco Cueva, night entertainment located in Trinidad famous cave. Near Hotel Las Cuevas, just above the old town, a short walk from its historic center. Open nightly until 3am.

When you are in Trinidad you must visit Valle de los Ingenios and climb Iznaga Tower, a spectacular view over the valley.
Valle de los Ingenios

Valle de los Ingenios, UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as Valle de San Luis, on the road to Sancti Spiritus, east of Trinidad. Stretched out over 25 miles between Trinidad and Sancti Spiritus, the valley offers views of a gorgeous countryside with old haciendas, castels and slaves houses.
In the center of the valley notice la Torre Manacas Iznaga symbol of the former glory of the sugar aristocracy. Manaca Iznaga Tower, stands next to Pedro Iznaga hacienda, was used to watch slaves. House is now a restaurant.

It is possible to tour the valley by car or horseback, with or without a guide. Horse riding tours to the valley are a popular way to see the sights. Tourists can explore Valle de los Ingenios by fantastic old steam train.

Stunning view of the landscape, and the best way to see the entire Valley is from Mirador de La Loma del Puertos. High lookout, located on the road from Trinidad to Sancti Spiritus.

Those who are looking for beaches, will find a four kilometers peninsula of fine sands and shallow clean waters.

Ancon beach

- Ancon Beach, the beach is lovely, pure white sand and clean turquoise water, just 8 km from Trinidad. You can hire a Taxi for $CUC 18 from Trinidad to Playa Ancon via La Boca. Small fishing village "La Boca" is located about 6 km south of Trinidad, where there are lots of birds at La Boca coast. Cayo Blanco

- Cayo Blanco, 9 km south of Trinidad, Ancon’s offshore has more than 30 dive spots, and the attraction of sunken vessels. Cayo is famous for its kaleidoscopic variety of corals, sea fans, sponges and gorgonians.
Every day boat is leaving from Marina Puerto Sol, Ancon beach at 9am to Cayo Balnco. Cost CUC$ 45 per person, diner and snorkeling equipment included. Scuba Diving

- Topes de Collantes National Park, five kilometers to the west, a road leads north and climbs into the Escambray Range
swathed in Caribbean Pines and an abundance of tree ferns, bamboo and eucalyptus. National Parks
In Topes de Collantes, you can visit Caburni, Rocio and Vega Grande waterfalls, and La Batata cave, where an underground river form numerous pools.
